Description
The Fleet Industrial Supply Center Norfolk Det. Phila. intends to acquire IAW FAR part 12, as a commercial items acqusition, under full and open competition using simplified acquisition procedures as set forth in FAR part 13 for mobile MRI services in support of Naval Hospital Charleston, SC. The required services consists of the following: The successful quoter will provide a mobile 1.5 tesla MRI system to perform a full array of pulse sequences and physiologic synchronized studies of the body and extremities. The MRI magnet shall be a 1.5 tesla strength magnet, and the unit itself shall not be any older than 3 years. The mobile unit shall consist of a scanroom, operator control room, check in area, dressing area, and administrative area. The mobile system will perform services in support of NAVHOSP Charleston, 5 times a month on Wednesdays, the 5th day of the monthly service will be performed on a Thursday upon the mutal agreement of both parties. The estimated # of daily scans is 20. The quoter will provide 2 MRI technicians who are currently certified as a diagnostic radiological technologist as determined by the American Registry of Radiological Technologists, and who have graduated from an accredited radiological program which is accredited by the American Society of Radiological Technologists, or poses a certificate of completion from an American Medical Association approved training program for Diagnostic Radiological Technologist. The period of performance for this requirement will be 9 months and will have two one year option periods. The SIC code for this acquisition effort is 8049.
