PENDING REQUIREMENT The General Services Administration, Federal Supply Service, Hardware SuperStore, Paints, Coatings and Brushes Branch,6FEP-G5, is requesting a quote for recurring requirements during the next 12 months on National Stock Number 8030-01-389-1408, Sealing Compuond. Request prices be FOB Destination. Be sure to reference the reference number from EPS. QTY: 208 ea. Please quote FOB Destination Prices Destinations: 200 Kts San Diego, CA 92135 8Kts.. Jacksonville, FL 32212 SEALING COMPOUND: DESCRIPTION A three-component, polyurethane-based sealing and coating compound system for use on aircraft. Size: Components of the product required to be furnished in separate containers shall be packaged making a kit of 3000 to 5500 grams total net component weight in accordance with the supplier's normal commercial practice. There shall be no interaction chemically or physically with the contents so as to damage the container or alter the strength, quality, or purity of the contents. Such packaged ingredients shall be further packaged or assembled together as a complete unit in kit form. The filled containers and kit assembly shall be closed in a manner that will insure the contents will not spill or leak from the container and that separation of the components will be prevented during shipment, handling, storage, and redistribution. Note: Bids to be evaluated on price per percent of solids basis. Shelf life code: 4 (12 months) Maximum age on delivery: 2 months PRC-DeSoto CDP International p/n PR-2414 or CAAP Inc. p/n CAAPCoat FP-65-3. The Clean Air Act (40th Code of Federal Regulations, Subpart 63.741-63.753) designate "Aerospace Manufacturing and Rework Facilities" as a regulated emissions source category. Clean Air Act rules limit the volatile organic hazardous air pollutant (VOHAP) content of several types of solvents and coatings used within this industrial category. Suppliers are asked to complete and submit the "Aerospace Manufacturing Coating, Stripper, and Maskant" compliance certificates as applicable. This certificate is located at the following web site: http://www.r6.gsa.gov/fss/hac/ [Environmental Issues] Certificates need only be generated once for each applicable coating, stripper or maskant. When, and if, a supplier reformulates a coating, stripper or maskant, a new certificate would need to be generated. ITEM MARKING Each kit shall be marked with the following: (1) lot or batch number (2) dates of manufacture and reinspection (3) manufacturer's name and part number (4) instructions for use, mixing, etc. on unit containers only (5) instructions for storage, i.e. do not freeze, refrigerate, etc. (6) maximum volatile organic content (VOC) (less water and exempt solvents) in grams per liter or pounds per gallon. (7) each component of the kit shall be marked with the kit name and component part. PACKAGING PACKAGING: Material packaged as specified above shall be packed in a close-fitting, corrugated, fiberboard box conforming to Section 6(a), Rule 41 of the Uniform Freight Classification and Item 222 of the National Motor Freight Classification (200 minimum burst). Closure of the boxes shall be in accordance with Section 7 of Rule 41 of the Uniform Freight Classification. Gross weight of the box and contents shall not exceed 65 pounds. MARKING All unit, intermediate, transport packages and unit loads shall be marked for delivery to civilian activities in accordance with the FED-STD-123G, dated June 6, 1997, or marked for delivery to military activities in accordance with MIL-STD-129N, dated 15, May, 1997, as applicable.
