FUTURE COMBAT SYSTEMS INDUSTRY PROGRAM BRIEFING FUTURE COMBAT SYSTEMS (SN 02-07) -- The Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) and the ARMY would like to announce an industry program briefing for the Future Combat Systems Program. This program briefing will take place 9 November 2001, from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., at the Marriott Wardman Park Hotel in Washington, D.C. This briefing has been scheduled to follow the AUSA "Transforming to the Objective Force" Seminar on 8 November 2001 in which attendance is also encouraged. The briefing will be unclassified and the agenda items include the Objective Force Unit of Action, FCS Materiel Needs Statement, FCS Statement of Required Capabilities, DARPA/ARMY FCS Program Strategy and the Draft Solicitation. A draft solicitation will be available on the INTERNET at http://www.darpa.mil before the industry program briefing. Questions and comments concerning Industry day and/or the draft solicitation can be directed to the DARPA Agreements Officer, Robin Swatloski via email at PS02-07@darpa.mil or at (703) 696-0081. Questions and answers of a generic nature will be posted to the web without identifying the source and updated as needed. The main number for the hotel is (202) 328-2000. All attendees must complete the registration form available on-line at the AUSA website at http://www.ausa.org. Attendance is limited to five people per company and a registration fee is applicable.
