- Description
- The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) regulates a major segment of the United States Energy industry and, through its actions affects the economic well-being of most U.S. consumers. Under the Commission's public information rules, (18CFR, Part 388), members of the public, nationwide, must be provided with a variety of means of obtaining information and copies of public documents. As part of this service, the FERC requires that production and duplication services for various types of media, and research, technical assistance, information retrieval and delivery services be provided so that the public can obtain the material they require. As a result, the FERC is soliciting a Request for Proposal (RFP) for on-site photocopying and information retrieval services and/or internet retrieval capabilities. The FERC anticipates the award of a no-cost contract, which will provide the subject services to the general public. The contractor shall be compensated for all provided services by those members of the general public seeking these services. Award shall be made to that offeror whose proposal is evaluated as the Best Overall Value, cost and other factors considered. The FERC has prepared a Technical Statement of Work that delineates the types of services required in the areas of photocopying, facsimile transmission, subscription services and delivery services to be provided on-site in the FERC public reference room, located at 888 1st Street, NE, Washington, DC 20426, as well as the corresponding Evaluation Criteria which will be provided upon request to the technical liasion or Contracting Officer/s. These FERC points of contact are provided below. The FERC requires that you contact the technical liasion of your interest in partcipating in this competition within 5 calendar days of this notification, at which time a copy of the Technical Statement of Work/Evaluation Criteria will be provided. All potential offers must provide a technical point of contact as well as an email address for the dissemination of the Statement of Work and any/all other pertinent information. The FERC will hold a Technical Conference on Tuesday November 13, 2001, at 9:00AM at the FERC Headquarters, located at 888 1st Street, NE, Washington DC 20426. Notification of attendance must be received by the Technical Liasion not later than November 7, 2001. Attendance is limited to three representatives per offeror.
