Description

40' LONG 8' WIDE 8'6" HIGH MUST BE CONSTRUCTED OF CORRUGATED METAL, REINFORCED CORNERS, WELDED SEAMS, STANDARD DOUBLE DOORS ON ONE END AND LOCKABLE. THE CARGO CONTAINERS SHALL BE STACKABLE, SHALL HAVE PADEYES TO FACILITATE LIFTING WITH A CRANE, SHALL HAVE INITIALLY BEEN MANUFACTURED TO MEET INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING OPERATION (ISO) STANDARDS. THE CARGO CONTAINERS SHALL HAVE NO HOLES OVER 6 INCHES AND MUST NOT TAKE AWAY FROM THE STRENGTH OF THE CONTAINERS, NO DENTS LARGER THAN 12 INCHES IN DIAMETER AND THE CONTAINERS MUST BE STACKABLE, MINIMUM RUST IS ACCEPTABLE AS LONG AS IT DOES NOT REDUCE THE STRENGTH AND STACKABILITY OF THE CONTAINERS, AND THE CONTAINERS MUST BE USED. THIS WILL BE ISSUED AS A REQUIREMENTS CONTRACT WITH 3 OPTION YEARS. MAX 100 EA PER OPTION YEAR. An Ombudsman has been appointed to hear concerns from offerors or potential offerors during the proposal development phase of this acquisition. The purpose of the Ombudsman is not to diminish the authority of the program director or contracting officer, but to communicate contractor, concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations =20 to the appropriate government personnel. When requested, the Ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to the source of the concern. The Ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of proposals or in the source selection process.
