Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation Number N00164-02-R-6404 is hereby issued as a request for Proposal (RFP). Incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2001-01 as well as DCN 20011001. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this procurement is 334119 and the size standard is 1000 employees. This requirement is for the following: CLIN 0001 87 each Power PC 604E CPU Modules in accordance with General Dynamics Defense Systems (GDDS) drawing #7123521 which can be downloaded at www.crane.navy.mil/supply/announce.htm. De livery of 2 each is required F.O.B. NSWC Crane, Crane, IN 47522; delivery of 85 each is required F.O.B GDDS, 100 Plastics Avenue, Room 1330-A, Pittsfield, MA, 01201, all within 45 days after award. This is a BRAND NAME ONLY procurement and the brand name manufacturer is SBS Technologies, Inc., Communications Products Division, 5791 Van Allen Way, Carlsbad, CA, 92008-7321. Final inspection will be at destination. Selection for award will be based on past performance and price for offers of exact brand name item specified. Offers that are non-compliant with any material requirement of this solicitation may be rejected without further consideration for award. This will be a firm fixed price contract and will be awarded utilizing Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The contractor shall extend to the Government the full coverage of commercial sale warranty provided such warranty is available at no additional cost to the Government. The offeror shall provide its Commercial and Government Entity (CAGE) Code, Contractor Establishment Code and Tax Identification Number. To be eligible for award you must be properly registered in the Government's Central Contractor Registration (CCR).
