Description

U.S. Special Operations Command has a requirement for an indefinite quantity contract (IDIQ -- with minimum/maximum quantities) for four (4) different Digitized cockpit Components in support of the AH/MH-6, Mission Enhanced Little Bird (MELB) aircraft. The Government intends to award a contract, on a sole-source basis, to Rockwell Collins Incorporated, Cedar Rapids, IA. Rockwell has designed, developed, and manufactured all the Digitized Cockpit Components for the Special Ops aircraft. The components to be purchased are as follows: Control Display Unit, P/N: 822-0948-001, Min qty: 6, Max qty: 40; Display Unit, P/N: 822-0975-001, Min qty: 36, Max qty: 80; Remote Readout Unit, P/N: 622-9692-001, Min qty: 36, Max qty: 120; and Data Receptacle, P/N:822-1157-001, Min qty: 15, Max qty: 60. The requested delivery shall be the best delivery available upon time of order. The Contractor shall deliver ordered quantities to MSSA, 160th SOAR, Attn: Tory Eide, Ft. Campbell, KY 42223. Ordering shall be performed by the Contracting Officer upon appropriate notification from the 160th. All interested offerors may submit a proposal for consideration; however, because Rockwell is the only developer/manufacturer of these components, no competition is anticipated. The due date for proposals is 2:00PM est on 30 Nov 01. The Government anticipates contract award on or around 1 Dec 01.
