Description

Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Manchester, NH, has a requirement for Acute Care Physician Coverage. Physician(s) will be available continuously (24 hours/day, 7 days/week) to accept patients being transferred from Manchester VAMC to contracted facility who require admission for general medical conditions. Physician(s) will be credentialed and privileged at the contracted facility which must be a JCAHO accredited facility and have admitting privileges there. Physician(s) and case managers at the contracted facility will work with their counterparts at VAMC Manchester to assure that, upon discharge, patients have appropriate followup within the VA system. Contract is for a period of 1 year plus two option years. NAICS Code 62211 applies. This is a non-restricted solicitation. The solicitation is expected to be available on or about November 5, 2001.
