Description

The Defense Information Systems Agency intends to award a sole-source extension to Contract DCA100-99-D-4000 with Inter-national Research Institute (INRI) of Reston, Virginia (now called Northrup Grumman Information Technology (NGIT). As a result, the contract ceiling may increase by $44 million. This effort is for an additional one-year period which will be followed by a competitive request for proposal (RFP) for the 5.x version of the Common Operating Environment (COE). The competitive RFP will be posted 3rd quarter FY 02 on the World Wide Web at https://www.ditco.disa.mil under "Contracting Opportunities" and at Federal Business Opportunities at http://eps.gov/. The current action is a sole source extension under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) and is not a request for competitive quotes. This contract extension will produce, extend, and maintain the Common Operating Environment (COE) Common Operational Picture (COP) server, clients, command and control (C2) capability, and visualization software infrastructure applications with current 4.x releases of the COE.
