Description

N68936-00-R-0097 was originally synopsized in the May 5, 2000 Commerce Business Daily and modified in the August 30, 2000 CBD. Due to changing Navy E-2C Thin-Pack Parachute requirements, N68936-00-R-0097 has not been released. The items to be ordered under N68936-00-R-0097 have been reduced from the original synopsis. NAWCWD, China Lake, intends to negotiate on an other than competitive basis an IDIQ fixed price delivery order contract for Universal Water Activated Release Systems (UWARS), part number 1914-025-01 and FLU-10/P Zero Leak Inflation Assemblies, part number 1812-161-01, manufactured by Conax Florida Corporation, St. Petersburg, FL. Proposed contract type: fixed price IDIQ. Term of contract: three years. Maximum Quantities: 500 each of UWARS and FLU-10/P?s with stepladder pricing. The Government does not guarantee maximum quantities. Delivery: eight (8) months from date of order. FOB: Destination. The UWARS and FLU-10/P were developed by Conax Florida for the US Air Force. Conax Florida is the only qualified source for these items and has proprietary rights to the drawings and designs. These items will be provided as GFM to SEI in Asheville, NC for the use in the manufacture of E-2C Parachute Survival Ensembles for the Thin-Pack Parachute Program. Contractors seeking subcontracting opportunities must contact Conax Florida. Anticipated date for release of RFP N68936-00-R-0097: Nov. 14, 2001. Anticipated closing date: Dec. 13, 2001.
