Description

This work consists of Rental of Cutterhead Pipeline Dredge with Attendant Plant and Operators for Maintenance Dredging of the Tenn-Tom Waterway (TTWW) and Bendways, Black Warrior-Tombigbee River System and the Alabama River, Alabama and Mississippi. The principal location of work is expected to be the Tenn-Tom Waterway (TTWW), with possible assignments to the Black Warrior-Tombigbee Waterway, and the Alabama River. The work will require dredging to depths of 12 feet or greater over varying channel widths. Dredge material will have to be transported at distances up to 11,000 feet from the dredging site at lifts up to 70 feet. The work will require an 18, 20, 22 or 24-inch dredge with all necessary pipeline, material, supplies, labor and transportation; with respective minimum horsepower requirements of 4000, 2500, 2700, and 2700. NOTE: The above general outline of features of the work does not in any way limit the responsibility of the Contractor to perform all work and furnish all plant, labor, equipment and materials required by the specifications and the drawings referred to therein. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this project is 562910. Bid documents are available on or about 12 November 2001. Estimated cost of work is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. Unrestricted. All responsible sources may submit a bid, which shall be considered.
