Description

The VA Medical Center, Canandaigua, NY intends to conduct negotiations with the current electricity supplier, Rochester Gas & Electric, 89 East Avenue, Rochester, NY 14649-0001 for a successor utility contract during the 3-year period commencing January 1, 2002 through December 31, 2004 for electric distribution services at the VA Facility. The proposed contract action is being conducted as a sole source acquisition under the authority of 41 U.S.C. 253(c) (1). Interested parties are requested to submit, within ten calendar days of this publication, clear and convincing data substantiating their capabilities and qualifications to provide these requirements. Data received will be used solely for the purpose of determining whether this acquisition will be conducted using full and open competition. The determination to conduct this procurement using full and open competition shall be entirely within the discretion of the VISN 2 Network Contracting Activity.
