SYNOPSIS FOR INFORMATION ONLY -- The United States Air Force Aeronautical Systems Center, Reconnaissance Systems Program Office, Contracting Branch (ASC/RAKP), Wright-Patterson AFB, OH, has received authorization to pursue on a sole source basis with Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC), Satellite Beach, FL, the continued development of the United States Alternate National Data Center (ALT NDC) to be located at Goodfellow AFB, TX. -- This effort, Modification P00009, will be a duplicate of the base system, F33657-99-C-4722, currently located at Patrick AFB, FL and will be used in the event of an evacuation due to natural disasters. -- ASC/RAKP anticipates releasing a request for proposal to SAIC by approximately 17 Oct 01. -- Direct all questions or comments and routine communications concerning this acquisition approach to the Contract Negotiator or Procuring Contracting Officer (PCO) at ASC/RAKP, Bldg 557, 2640 Loop Road West, Wright-Patterson AFB, OH 45433-7106 at (937) 255-5775 or (937) 255-5879.
