Description

Sources Sought. The U.S. Department of Commerce, NOAA, intends to solicit 3300 each, Radiosonde General Purpose Meteorological Weather Balloons to support the National Weather Service (NWS) Upper Air Program. NSN: 6660-01-448-5920. ASN: J352-4. Kaysam Part Number: GP26. Balloons must meet the performance requirement set forth in the NWS Specification Number J300-SP004. The balloons must be capable of withstanding all weather conditions. This acquisition shall be processed using the requirements of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The proposed acquisition is for supplies for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source, Kaysam Worldwide, Inc., 55 Shepherds Lane, Totowa, NJ 07512, under the authority of 41 USC 253(c)(1). This notice is not a request for competitive quotations. Interested parties are encouraged to respond to this announcement within ten (10) days of its publication and shall submit in writing, it's name, address, point of contact, telephone number, business size and a brief statement regarding it's capability to provide the specified supply and the names, telephone numbers, and points of contact for businesses or other Government agencies to which it has previously provided similar supplies. No response will be provided to those inquiries which fail to provide the information requested. This information shall be submitted to the address stated herein or may be faxed to (816) 426-7530, attention Jackie Shewmaker. This is not a request for quotation. A determination by the Government not to compete this procurement is solely within the discretion of the Government. The NAICS code is 334519. This acquisition is 100% set-aside for small business.
