Description

The principal items of work include: (1) Installation and removal of Government furnished stoplogs; (2) repainting of the radial gates, including surface preparation; (3) removing and replacing seals on the radial gates; (4) removing and replacing cathodic protection system; (5) rehabilitating both the canal and river outlet fixed-wheel gates and hoists; (6) concrete repairs in spillway; (7) removing and replacing superstructure floor grating; (8) repainting of the superstructure steel support members, including surface preparation; (9) repairing interior coating and re-coating exterior of canal outlet pipe; and (10) fabricating and installing an access system to the engine generator room. The estimated price range of the work is $1,000,000 to $5,000,000. The work is located approximately 9 miles southeast of Hot Springs, South Dakota in Fall River County. Solicitation packages are anticipated to be available 11/15/01. Requests for solicitations should be received no later than 1/3/02. The bid opening is tentatively scheduled for 01/17/02, at the office of the Bureau of Reclamation, Rapid City Field Office, 515 9th Street, Room 101, Rapid City, South Dakota 57701. The contract is to be completed within approximately 370 calendar days. There is no charge for the first copy of the solicitation, additional sets will be provided upon receipt of a nonrefundable check or money order of $9.00 each. After issuance, the solicitation may be viewed, without charge, at the Bureau of Reclamation, Great Plains Region Office, Room 2031, Federal Building, 316 North 26th Street, Billings, Montana; and at the Bureau of Reclamation, Rapid City Field Office, 515 9th Street, Room 101, Rapid City, South Dakota.
