- Description
- The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Small Business Office is inviting you to attend their 5th Annual Small Business Conference, Supporting the Soldier and the Nation, November 14-15, 2001 at the Crystal Gateway Marriott, Arlington, Virginia. All small businesses are encouraged to attend. U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is the Nation's premier engineering organization, providing comprehensive engineering, management and technical support to the DoD, other agencies and state and local governments. Small business plays an essential role in assisting the Corps in accomplishing its mission. Last year the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers awarded over $2.5 billion to small businesses. This year's conference begins at 1:15pm on Wednesday, November 14, 2001. Speakers include the Deputy Commander of USACE, the Chief of Engineers, the Director of Civil Works and the Director of Military Programs. The day concludes with an evening reception. Thursday, November 15, 2001, opens with a continental breakfast and will be devoted to an all day Business Opportunities Fair in addition to a luncheon with a keynote speaker. This 5th Annual premier conference brings together small business leaders and key USACE decision makers, from top level to commanders, in the field where acquisitions are conducted. It provides a forum for direct exchange of information and ideas between senior USACE officials and small business leaders. The Business Opportunities Fair, which is a very significant and unique feature of the conference, will outline future business opportunities available in buying commands. All Division and District Commanders will be available at counseling tables in one room to address your individual questions and concerns. Target Audience: CEOs and senior executives of small businesses, small disadvantaged businesses and women-owned small business firms. For more information, please visit the conference website at www.ncsievents.com or call National Conference Services, Inc. at 301-596-8899. Pre-registration is required before Wednesday, November 7, 2001.
