Description

The Veterans Affairs Medical Center=92s located in Birmingham and Tuscaloosa Alabama requires home oxygen services for approximately 450 Birmingham and 100 Tuscaloosa entitled patients who are located throughout the state of Alabama and a small percentage of care to closely neighboring counties in Mississippi (Columbus, MS area).=20 Services shall be for a base year with four one-year options for renewal. The successful contractor/s, all branch office/s and subcontractor/s must be fully accredited by JCAHO and in good standing for equipment management and clinical respiratory services, as well as having recently and successfully teamed with a major medical facility in passing a JCAHO inspection. The solicitation will be issued with a base and VA discretionary four one-year options for renewal. The effective base year period is projected to be February 1, 2002 through January 31, 2003. The NAICS code for this procurement is 62161 with a small business size standard of $10.0 M. This procurement is unrestricted. The solicitation will be issued o/a 11-07-01.=20 Evaluation factors will be Past Performance and Demonstrated Capability, Quality Assurance, Personnel Qualifications, Cost/Pricing.=20 The relative importance of each factor is in descending order of precedence.
