- Description
- Red River Army Depot (RRAD) operates a fluidizing bed denuding system procured in 1991 to remove rubber from the used road wheel and track components of military vehicles. The equipment is operated 24 hours a day, seven days per week. Periodic quarterly maintenance is required to maintain operational efficiency. Presently, all maintenance is provided by the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) -- Seghers BetterTechnology. RRAD is seeking interest from other firms with the potential to perform the designated maintenance. Qualified contractors must be able to demonstrate and document complete compliance with all the following criteria: 1. Possess knowledge of the design and operational parameters of the equipment such that all gages, pressure transmitters, servo motors and machine variables can be calibrated, adjusted, and certified to ensure proper operation of the system. 2. Have sufficient business procedures and processes for ordering, obtaining, and delivering spare and repair parts and materials identical to those utilized by the OEM. 3. Provide trained and qualified personnel with knowledge and expertise to complete repair work on refractory brick and ceramic fiber insulation. 4. Provide the skills necessary to repair or replace components, sensors, and instruments for the mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and gas systems. Demonstrate compliance with RRAD s Texas Natural Resource Conservation Commission Air Permit Number 17973, Special Conditions Item 17 that states, Only trained and certified personnel shall be allowed to operate or maintain the Rubber Denuding System. Please respond by letter or email indicating your capability to meet these requirements, providing evidence of certification, and a desire to be considered in future acquisitions of this nature.
