- Description
- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with subparts in the Federal Acquisition Regulation 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-27. The Government intends to issue a sole source contract under the simplified acquisition procedure for the InstaCount Surgical Management System, to Aesculap. The NAICS code is 621511. 1) The collection of data will be assembled into the data sheets for 300 sets of instruments, provided by the company, for services required building this data bank system. The Operating Room instrumentation sets (between 50 to 60 percent) standardize by Aesculap surgical instrument that are specifically etched and colored dipped for set identification. Aesculap will provide without charge, for the services of a team of 20 persons to collect a complete inventory data of all instruments used for the Operating Room. 2) Included is Barcode tracking with complete interface with autoclave load tracking system for location and security of all in-house sets and borrowed instrumentation on a day to day surgical case load. TRAINING SERVICES Aesculap will provide a full time nurse consultant, to custom build the system and conduct the training. Nurse consulting services will be available on a 24/7 for continuing support by telephone. HARDWARE/SOFTWARE Offeror shall propose pricing for the Aesculap InstaCount Surgical Management System, which consist of the following components: Software Requirements (1) INSTACOUNT 2000-Instrument Management System; (9) INSTACOUNT 2000 on each Workstation SYBASE SQL Setup; and (1) seat SYBASE SQL 5 seat pack; (2) Bar Code Software (1/Printer); (10) Diskeeper (only Windows NT) Recommended; (10) McAfee Anti-Virus; Hardware Requirements: (3) SP1800 Laser Scanner Kit with Cable; (2) 1552 Cordless Scanner Kit, base radio, cable & battery; (1) Metal Bar Code Labels 00001-01000X5 -- Optional; -- Paper Labels 4 inch X 2 inch; Printer Ribbon for 4 inch X 2 inch labels; IMS Services; (1) Hospital instrument inventory (20 Person inventory team); (1) Data services (data input for 300 sets); (1) Data training for network system; In addition, offeror shall propose prices for the Load TRAQ 2000 Hardware and Software Requirements: Software -- (1) Load TRAQ Base Package w/1 year Maintenance; (1) Diskeeper (only Windows NT) -- Recommended; (1) McAfee Anti-Virus -- Recommended; (1) Carbon Copy 32 version 5.0 (modem access); (1) LAOD TRAQ Maintenance contract per year (after 1 year); Hardware -- (2) HHP Dolphin Home Base Changer Interface/Reader/Battery; (1) ROM, 17 inch Monitor, 56K Internal Modem, Network Card. The Contractor warrants that at the time of delivery, the system will be free from defects in material and workmanship and will be in good working condition. Delivery of the equipment shall be FOB Destination to: Warehouse, VA San Diego Healthcare System, 3350 La Jolla Village Drive, San Diego, CA 92161, the equipment will be used by the department located at Bldg 110 The required date of delivery is 30 calendar days from receipt of award. Contractor will be responsible for the installation of system. Offeror shall submit a completed copy of representations and certifications at FAR 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certification -- Commercial Items (May 2001).
