Description

The Office of Indian Education Programs invites interested responsible parties to submit a proposal to provide food services for the Southwestern Indian Polytechnic Institute (SIPI) located in Albuquerque, New Mexico. There are approximately 700 students that attend the Institute during the fall and spring Trimester and approximately 450 students during the summer trimester. There is also to be special food services for approximately 60 100 special program students during a six (6) week summer upward bound program. The contractor shall provide a complete food service program, consisting of (1) management and operation of food handling facilities, kitchen and dining hall; (2) provide the purchasing, receiving, storing, handling, processing, cooking, packaging, serving and disposing of food at the location; (3) maintain the cleanliness of the facility (kitchen, dining section, dish rooms, etc.); (4) maintain kitchen equipment, both during and between meals and (5) maintain an inventory level of dishes and silver ware. All meals are to be served cafeteria style, except for sack lunches, snacks, sick trays and other special meals. The contractor shall also provide snack bar and concession service to SIPI students, staff, and visitors seven (7) days a week during each trimester. It is anticipated that a one-year contract with 4 one-year options will result from this solicitation. All interested parties should submit a request for a copy of the solicitation.
