Description

NUWC Division Newport intends to place a Sole Source (SAP) procurement to Kollmorgen Corp, Northampton, MA for two simulated dip loops to support integration tests of the AN/BVS-1 Photonics Mast for the Virginia Class Submarine at Electric Boat Dynamics COATS facility in Groton CT. This is a combined synopsis prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only announcement. Request For Quotation (RFQ) number is N66604-02-Q-0253. Incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-17. NAICS Code is 334511 size standard is 750 employees. Required delivery is 75 days after award, F.O.B. Destination Groton, CT. Kollmorgen Electro-Optical Corp. is the only known source for these items because they are currently developing the Photonics mast System and the documentation to date is preliminary, lacking the detail needed to support the design and fabrication of the required cable assemblies.
