Description
This project will consist of grading, asphalt surfacing, and drainage on 4.640 km (largest schedule) of roadway for St ate Route 537-Jicarilla, NM PLH 1352(16), in Rio Arriba County, State of New Mexico. Estimated price range is between $1,00 0,000 and $5,000,000. Principal work items on the largest schedule include: 13.920 km grade finishing stakes; lumpsum contractor testing; 16,000 m 3 watering for dust control; 13.7 hectares clearing and grubbing; 42,245 m3 select topping; 32,280 m3 embankment constructio n; 29,065 m2 earthwork geotextile; 260 m3 placed riprap (various); 335 m3 wire enclosed riprap; 45 m3 gabions; 23,665 metric tons aggregate base; 3.160 km road reconditioning; 875 metric tons asphalt cement; 14,500 metric tons superpave asphalt con crete pavement; 223 m3 structural concrete class A; 135 m3 concrete; 485 m pipe culvert (various); 120 m guardrail system G4 ; 9,745 fence barbd wire; 4 each cattle guard; heavy equipment operators (various); along with associated seeding; signing, striping and traffic control. The DOT Bondi ng Assistance Program enables firms to apply for bid, performance and payment bonds up to $1.0 million per contract. The DO T provides an 80% guaranty on the bond amount to a surety against losses.
