Description

(i) This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial supplies prepared in accordance with the format in FAR subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. Quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Per FAR 13.106-1 (a)(2)award will be made based on price alone (best value). (ii) The Directorate of Contracting, Fort Carson, Colorado has a requirement for the following: CLIN 0001 15-Passenger Vans; and CLIN 0002 SUVs. The vehicles must meet the following requirements: must have civilian license plates and registration; must not have external markings labeling them as leased vehicles or a leasing company; all SUVs must seat at least 8 passengers; have a V-8 engineer and 4-wheel drive; the company must be able to delivery the vehicles to Fort Carson, Colorado; the unit must be able to return the vehicles early without penalty to the Government. Please provide quote stating (by vehicle type); hourly rate, weekly rate, monthly rate, mileage fee, cost for fuel if vehicle not returned full, and any cost for cleaning of vehicles. Please provide capability and process for replacement vehicles if one becomes disabled and maintenance capability (i.e., Government will provide 1st echelon maintenance only, contractor will provide ). (iii) Quantity: CLIN 0001 4 Vans; CLIN 0002 4 SUVs (v) Unit of Issue: each (vi) FOB: Destination, Fort Carson, Colorado (vii) Required Delivery Date: 4 January 22 March 2002 (viii) Award shall be made only to contractors who have registered with the Central Contractor Registration at www.ccr2000.com. (x) North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 532111, with a small business size standard of $18.5. (xi) The following provisions in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) apply to this acquisition to include any addenda to the provision. This solicitation incorporates one or more clauses by reference, with the same force and effect as if they were given in full text.
