- Description
- The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, Maritime Surveillance Aircraft Division, at Patuxent River, MD has a systems engineering services requirement covering the following general areas: requirements development and analysis, systems hardware and software development, hardware and software integration and test, quality assurance, documentation and fleet training. The platforms to be supported include the Multi-mission Maritime Aircraft, the P-3C Orion Antisubmarine and the Antisurface Warfare (ASUW) Aircraft with variants for the UIII, ASUW Improvement Program, and foreign versions. Cross-platform initiatives with the SH-60R, ground and ship based systems will also be supported. The contract type is anticipated to be Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity, Cost-Plus-Fixed-Fee, with an estimated level of effort of 121,374 man-hours for the base year. Four option years are anticipated. The estimated level of effort for the full five-year period is 606,870 man-hours. This action is a follow-on to Contract N62269-96-D-0084, originally awarded to Pacer Systems, Inc., 900 Technology Park Drive, Billerica, MA 01821. Basis for award of the resultant contract will be the best value to the Government, cost and non-cost factors considered. All potential offerors must either have or be able to obtain a Top Secret facility clearance. Some portions of the work to be performed in support of this effort may require a Special Compartmental Intelligence (SCI) clearance. If performed, SCI work will require that a minimal number of the proposed personnel have or either possess the ability to obtain an SCI clearance. General tasking and a description of the required labor categories will be provided in the Statement of Work. This requirement is being classified under the North American Industry Classification System 54133.
