- This is a combined synopsis/solicitiation for commerical items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement consititutes the only solicitations; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation number DAAB07-02-R-N002 is issued as a Request for Proposal. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisiton Circular. The proposed contract action is for supplies for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received within fifteen days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Govenment not to compete with this proposed contract based upon response to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The NAIC for this requirement is 42160. Line Item 0001AA, circuit card assembly, 8 each. NSN 5998-01-431-5514; part number 106-00242-00; part of AN/USD-9C. Line Item 0002AA, circuit card assembly, 18 each. NSN 5998-01-444-5386; part number 106-00222-00; part of AN/TSQ-176A. Line Item 0003AA, circuit card assembly, 10 each. NSN 5998-01-434-7420; part number 106-00223-00-3; part of AN/TSQ-176A. The packaging for all line items is LOP-military, PKG-REF-AG00000601, LPK-Minimal and QUP-001. All line items are to be delivered to New Cumberland, PA, 120 days after award. Inspection and acceptance will be at origin; FOB is destination. The following clauses and provisions and any addenda's to the clauses and provisions apply to this acquisition. Provision's 52.212-1, Instructions to Offers-Commerical; provision 52.212-2, Evaluation-Commerical Items; 52.212-3, Offeror Representations, and Certifications-Commerical Items; 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions-Commerical Items and 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required To Implement Statutes or Executive Orders-Commerical Items apply to this acquisition. A noncompetitive negotiation is proposed with Concurrent Computer Corp. 2881 Gateway Drive Pompano Beach, FL because the Government physically does not have in its possession sufficient accurate or legible data to purchase this part from other than current source. A firm fixed price contract is anticipated. The due date for offers is November 7, 2001 at 1400 hours.
