Description

The Social Security Administration (SSA) plans to negotiate on a sole-source basis with Comcast Cablevision located at 8031 Corporate Drive, Baltimore, Maryland 21236 for recurring monthly cable television service and maintenance for SSA's Headquarter located in Woodlawn, Maryland. Comcast Cablevision is the only known source capable of providing cable service in Baltimore County, and SSA intends to issue an order using Simplified Acquisition Procedures. This synopsis constitutes the only announcement and is for informational purposes only. This is not a competitive request for quotation or an announcement of a forthcoming solicitation. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. The Government will consider all information from responsible sources received within 5 days after date of publication of this synopsis. The Government does not intend to pay for information submitted in response to this synopsis and respondents will not be notified of the results of the evaluation of information received. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. =20
