Description

The Department of the Interior (DOI) intends to negotiate a sole source modification to contract number NBCW1C00002, Alaska Communications System (ACS) to increase its current commercial virtual private internetworking services to 4 DOI locations in Alaska. This increased capability will be provisioned on the ACS Multi protocol label switching fibreoptic backbone network in Alaska with virtual Internet protocol services access to the ACS Seattle, WA main interoffice exchange facility (IEF), the commercial Internet and interconnectivity. Additionally, this increased service will provide local market connectivity upgrades to increase transparent LAN services (TLS) at a rate of no less than 10Mbps Fast Ethernet over Fibre Optic to each of the 4 sites within Alaska.
