Description

The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division, Coastal Systems Station, Panama City, Florida, intends to award a sole source, firm-fixed-price Purchase Order to Sonatech, Incorporated, 879 Ward Drive, Santa Barbara, CA. 93111, for installation of Pulse Compression into the Coastal Systems Station owned Sonatech Model SLS-014 Side Scan Sonar. The Pulse Compression hardware was developed by Sonatech for the AN/BLQ-11 program and can be repackaged to work in the SLS-014. This acquisition is unsuitable for full and open competition for the following reasons: Both the design of the pulse compression hardware and the SLS-014 are proprietary to Sonatech. Therefore, Sonatech Incorporated is the only source capable of meeting this requirement. Note 22 applies.
