- Service consists of leasing a Paving Machine for a basic year with three option years with option to buy. The paving machine shall be a BLAW ?KNOX, MODEL PF-5510 or Equal with the following features:=20 Omni 3 Screed with Power Crown and Slope Cummins ?Elite? series 6 Cylinder, turbo-charged diesel model 6BTA engine (184 hp.) or better Cooling System 25 qts,Fuel Tank 54 gal. 12 volt, negative ground with 105 amp Alternator Hydraulic System 54 gal. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. PAPER COPIES WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE. (i) NSN 3895-01-057-5288, Solicitation F24604-02-T-0004 is issued as a request for quote (RFQ). (ii) The solicitation is being conducted under FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items. This solicitation document and related provisions and clauses are those that are in effect through federal acquisition circular 97-24. (iii) The NAICS code is 532412. (iv) Specifications and functional description are as listed above. (v) Paver delivery period will be up to 30 days after date of award; preferably by 19th November 2001,but NO LATER THAN 30th November, 2001; F.O.B Destination. (vi) The provision at FAR 52.212-1, instruction to offerors-commercial applies to this acquisition. (vii) The Government will award a contract resulting from this solicitation to the responsible offeror whose offer conforming to the solicitation will be most advantageous to the government. The following factors will be used to evaluate offers; technical capability of the item offered to meet the government?s requirement and price.
