Description

Drydock and Repairs to the NOAA Ship KA'IMIMOANA. Vessel characteristics : length 224 ft; draft 15 ft; hull -- welded steel/ice strengthened; displacement 2,301 tons; gross tonnage -- 2,014; net tonnage 604. Additional characteristics can be found at http://www.moc.noaa.gov/ka/general.htm Work will include, but not be limited to: drydocking and undocking, underwater body preservation, hull preservation, main propulsion generator engine overhaul, engine room bilge preservation, repair HIAB 450 crane, repair HIAB 120 crane, and buoy deck modifications. Anticipated period of performance January 7-February 15, 2002. Vessel available for inspection in San Diego, California December 3-5, 2001.
