Description

Noun: Large Capacity (36 Gb) Disk Drive Unit for the Digital Map System currently on the MH-47E and MH-60K Special Operations Aircraft. The current DDUs, which reside within the Digital Memory Unit, on the aircraft are inadequate to hold large amounts of digital media required for mission execution. Also, current DDUs are experiencing a high failure rate and cannot be repaired. The Government anticipates award of an Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity contract; minimum quantity 1 each/maximum quantity 250 each. Delivery of these units are required starting 60 days after award of contract to Ft. Campbell, Kentucky. The Government does not own the specifications and drawings to permit full and open competition. Firms that recognize and can produce the required item described above are encouraged to identify themselves to the contracting office who can provide additional information.
