Description: The project includes placing a stone slope revetment along the left back of the Hoosic River to protect the two sewer interceptor lines. The project consists of clearing and grubbing approximately 325 linear feet of riverbank and the placement of a graded system of stone slope protection. The stone protection consists of a 27 inch layer of rip rap on a 1 vertical to 2 horizontal slope underlain by a 1 foot layer of stone and a 1 foot layer of gravel bedding. Additionally, the rock will be placed in a man ner so as to create roughness to dissipate some flow velocities. The top of the protection will be approximately 10 feet above the normal spring high water level and will follow the horizontal alignment along the Hoosic River. The toe of the revetment wi ll extend into the river approximately 40 feet. The estimated cost of this work in between $250,000.00 and $500,000.00. Work shall be completed within 150 calendar days after receipt of Notice to Proceed.
