- Description
- ISSUE DATE: Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, transportation, supervision and disposal necessary to repair approximately 24? of EPDM roof membrane seams and two roof drain repairs of the Boat Maintenance Facility (BMF). Contractor shall install approximately 5,000 square feet of vinyl siding and approximately 1,350 square feet of vinyl soffit materials on the BMF and Multipurpose Building at USCG Station Jones Beach, Freeport, NY. The work includes, trimming around existing lights, speaker horns and air vents of various sizes and other related work. The contractor shall provide a new sign backboard as shown in the drawings for the existing sign located on the BMF?s north side. Contractor shall fabricate and install two new chimney-flashing units as shown in the drawings. Estimated cost of this project is between $25,000 and $100,000 dollars. NAICS code is 235610. Solicitation packages to issue on or about 11/9/01, quotes are due on or about 12/9/01 at 4:00 p.m. Period of performance is 60 calendar days. This procurement is issued pursuant to the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program and is unrestricted. Our office no longer issues solicitations or amendments in paper form. THE FOLLOWING NOTICE IS PROVIDED AS INFORMATION FOR MINORITY, WOMEN-OWNED, AND DISADVANTAGED BUSINESS ENTERPRISES: The Dept of Transportation (DOT) Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization (OSDBU) has programs to assist minority, women-owned and disadvantaged business enterprises to acquire short-term working capital and bonding assistance for transportation-related contracts. This is applicable to any eligible prime or subcontract at any tier. The DOT Bonding Assistance Program enables firms to apply for bid, payment and performance bonds up to $1.0 million per contract. The DOT provides an 80% guaranty on the bond amount to a surety against losses. Loans are available under the DOT Short-term Lending Program (STLP) at prime interest rates to provide accounts receivable financing. The max. Line of credit is $500,000.
