Description

The Bureau of Engraving and Printing (BEP) is soliciting sources for secured/armed, round trip transportation service with armed car carriers with direct inside delivery to and from the following cities: Orlando, FL -- show dates 01/10/02 through 01/13/02 for 30 pieces weighing 1500 lbs and liability of $60,000; San Francisco, CA -- show dates in Feb. 2002 (exact dates to be determined) for 30 pieces weighing 1500 lbs and liability of $100,000; Chicago, IL -- show dates 03/01/02 through 03/03/02 for 30 pieces weighing 1500 lbs and liability of $60,000; Fort Worth, TX -- show dates 05/10/01 through 05/12/02 for 25 pieces weighing 1200 lbs and liability of $50,000; New York, NY- show dates 07/31/02 through 08/04/02 for 30 pieces weighing 1500 lbs and liability of $60,000; Long Beach, CA -- show dates 10/03/02 through 10/06/02 pieces: 30 weight: 1500 lbs and liability of $60,000. Bureau of Engraving and Printing staff will provide IMPORTANT SPECIFIC DETAILS of each pick up and delivery approximately four weeks in advance of each trip. Carriers must be on time, bear appropriate credentials, and be prepared for DIRECT INSIDE DELIVERY, requiring that a movable cart be on truck. In addition, Bureau of Engraving & Printing must be provided with names of all transportation personnel. This acquisition is set-side for small businesses under North American Industry Classification system (NAICS) code 488999, with a small business size standard of $5.0 million dollars. All responsible small business sources are requested to submit a written quotation, which shall be considered by the agency. Quotations may be submitted on a SF18 or on company letterhead. Quotations shall include the RFQ number, the proposed unit price, the proposed extended price, any prompt payment discount terms, company name, point of contact, address, phone number, fax number, tax identification number, NAIC code, business size std, and Duns number. Quotes will be accepted on the first day after publication of the notice and a purchase order will be awarded after October 31, 2002. Quotation may be faxed to 202-874-3135; no phone request will be accepted. =20
