Description

This procurement is 100% set aside for 8(a) small business. The NAICS is 561730. The intention of this solicitation is to obtain Grounds Maintenance Management for various Government installations within the Washington Metropolitan Area by means of a performance based, combination of fixed price and indefinite quantity contract. The cost range is approx. between $1-5M for the entire contract performance period. The performance period for the resulting contract will be a one-year base period and provisions for four one-year options. Sites will include, but are not limited to, the National Naval Medical Center, Bethesda MD and the Naval Observatory, Washington DC. The Contractor shall provide all labor, supplies, supervision, tools, materials, equipment, and transportation necessary to provide Grounds Maintenance and Management Services in accordance with the specifications in the solicitation. The services provided shall continually maintain all areas in a well groomed and freshly maintained condition that compliment the existing architectural structures. It is anticipated that the solicitation document RFP N62477-01-R-0159 will be available o/a 29 October 2001. Award will be based on best value to the Government, and not necessarily the low price. The solicitation will provide the specific requirements for submission of offerors. Offerors will be evaluated on relevant experience, staffing, past performance and price. Interested parties can obtain a copy of the solicitation via www.esol.navfac.navy.mil. The website is free and provides instructions for downloading the solicitation file. Potential offerors will be responsible for downloading a copy of the solicitation, and also for monitoring this site for the release of the solicitation amendments. The closing date and time for receipt of proposals will be o/a 26 November 2001 at 3:00pm (EST). The date, time and location of the pre-proposal conference will be provided in the solicitation.
