Description

The Mason Enterprise Center's Procurement Technical Assistance Program (PTAP) at George Mason University, along with Virginia's Center for Innovative Technology and the Techventure Partnership, is sponsoring a special course and workshop on how to be successful in the SBIR and Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) Programs. The course and workshop will be held on 12 November 2001 from 8:30AM to 5:30PM at the Mason Enterprise Center in Fairfax, Virginia. The course and workshop will teach the basics of the SBIR & STTR Programs, including the requirements for participation and how to sort out the agencies, departments, and the available opportunities. Attendees will learn the tools for deciding if their firm should pursue SBIR/STTR and how to successfully develop business in SBIR/STTR, including how to develop competitive proposals. Information will be targeted towards small businesses. The registration fee is $200 for Virginia-based businesses and $270 for businesses located outside of Virginia. Registration after 26 October 2001 will be subject to a $10 late fee. Lunch will be provided. Seating is limited to first 25 registered.
