- Description
- This is an invitation for bids for construction of a new 4,000 square-foot Emergency Operations Center (EOC) to be constructed in Falmouth, KY. Facilities to support the EOC include an access road, parking lot, site utilities, limited storm drainage, erosion control, and landscaping. The EOC will be located along US 27, about 1-2 miles north of Falmouth, adjacent to Pendleton County High School. A 2,00 square-foot, two-bay garage is planned as an option for the facility. Another planned option is a connecting road from the access road to the high school. Estimated value is between $500,000.00 and $1,000,000.00. Solicitation is to be issued on or about 06 November 2001, with a tentative bid opening of 06 December 2001 at 2:00 p.m. (local time). N AICS code is 233320. There are options included in this solicitation. There will be no charge for this solicitation. Plans and specifications are available on compact disk only. Project specification files are Portable Document Format (PDF) files and c an be viewed, navigated, or printed using Adobe Acrobat Reader. The drawing files are in CAL format and can be viewed, navigated, or printed using Source View Reader. Both readers are contained in the solicitation package. Minimum system requirements are: 486- based personal computer, Microsoft Windows 3.1 or greater, 8 MB application RAM, 4 MB hard disk space, and compact disk drive. FTP access is through ftp://www.lrl.usace.army.mil/advertisements/. This announcement serves as the advance notice for this project. If a large business is selected for award of this contract, the firm will be required to present an acceptable Small Business Subcontracting Plan in a ccordance with Public Law 95-507 prior to award of the contract. The current subcontracting goals are 61.4% to Small Business, 9.1% to Small Disadvantaged Business, 4.5% to Women-Owned Small Business, 3% to Veteran-Owned Small Business and 2% to HubZone S mall Business. These percentages are applied to the total amount of subcontracted dollars.
