Description

The University of Botswana wishes to acquire an interactive POLYCOM video-conferencing system to conduct teaching, learning and research between the main University campus in Gaborone and distant centres in Botswana, as well as with external parties locally, regionally and internationally. The interactive POLYCOM video-conferencing system should create a virtual classroom setting for: interactive multi-site real-time teaching between campuses nation-wide and linking with regional and other international participants, as well as on campus between a number of buildings. two-way interactive seminars locally, and also linking with regional and other international participants and interactive meetings including interviews. The POLYCOM system should be a turnkey solution that includes on-site electricity connections/points, installation and on-site training. The equipment should support international standards including H320 and H323. Mobility of equipment is critical in order to ensure flexible usage. The respondents would be expected to render ongoing local support if awarded.*****
