Description

The Bureau of the Census intends to negotiate and award a sole source purchase order, utilizing simplified acquisition procedures (under FAR 13.5) to the University of California, Berkeley, 358 Barrows Hall, Berkeley, CA 94720 to provide upgrades and technical support for the Computer Assisted Survey Execution System (CASES) software suite. The basis for the proposed non-competitive action is that the university is the only legal source with rights to the CASES suite source code and is the only organization that can meet the Bureau of the Census's needs and requirements. The intent of this synopsis is for informational purposes only, and is not a request for competitive quotations; no solicitation will be issued.
