Description

The Government has a known requirement to purchase 35,000 minimum and 10,000,000 additional (maximum) 5.56mm Reduced Ricochet Limited Penetration (RRLP) Cartridges. The 5.56mm Reduced Ricochet Limited Penetration (RRLP) Cartridge shall be manufactured in accordance with Hybrid Specification (HS/4083/C-1/1251 dated 5 October 2001) to be included with the solicitation package. Data shall be procured. The production quantity is due within 90 days after issuance of each delivery order. Inspection and Acceptance shall be at Origin. Standard Quality Assurance is required. The delivery terms shall be F.O.B. Destination. The Government intends to award to the responsible contractor whose offer is the best value to the government considering past performance and price-related factors. A safety survey will be required prior to award of the contract to ensure contractors comply with the requirements of DFARS 252.223-7002 and 252.223-7003. Contractors must be registered with the Central Contractor Registration database. All business sources will be considered. See numbered Note 26.
