Description

The USAF Academy Operational Contracting office is issuing this sources sought/request for information to identify the availability of sources for Running shoes and Cross trainer athletic shoes which are produced domestically or in Qualifying Countries in accordance with DFARS 225.872-1. The USAF Academy has an ongoing requirement for an estimated annual quantity of 1400 pairs of mens and womens running shoes and cross trainers in assorted sizes for delivery in April each academic year. The specifications are attached. This Request for Information (RFI) is issued for the specific purpose of identifying potential contractors with the capability of providing quality running shoes and cross trainers which are produced in compliance with the Buy American Act as required by FAR Part 25 and DFARS Part 225. As indicated above the shoes may be manufactured in the following Qualifying Countries: Australia, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, Egypt, Germany, France, Greece, Israel, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Spain, Turkey, United Kingdom. This Notice is not a request for quote, and shall not be construed as an obligation on the part of the Government to acquire any footwear or otherwise pay for the information furnished. Responses are desired ONLY from those manufacturers who can supply shoes manufactured in compliance with the Buy American Act and the attached purchase descriptions. =20
