- Description
- Maintenance Services for Beech Fork Lake, West Virginia. Approximate time will be calendar year 2002 with four additional one year option periods. The not-to-exceed amount of this contracts is $600,000.00. The work consists essentially of mowing, cleaning, and selected maintenance services in public use areas of the project. All responsive proposals will be evaluated by utilizing the following factors: (A) Experience and Past Performance; (B) Management Plan; (C) Equipment and (D) Price. Contract will be a Firm Fixed Price Indefinite Delivery Tytpe, competitively negotiated. Award will be made as a whole to the offeror whose proposal conforms to the solicitation and has been determined to be the most advantageous to the Government all factors considered. A pre-proposal conference will be held on Wednesday 14 November 2001 at 10:00 a.m. at Beech Fork Lake, 5441 Beech Fork Road, Lavalette, WV. This solicitation may be requested by FAX (304)529-5281 or register on-line at www.lrh.usace.army.mil/ct. This proposed procurement is a 100% Small Business Set-Aside. See Note #1. This procurement is currently being reviewed for consideration as a possible acquisition for a nonprofit agency that employs people who are blind or severely disabled. If the Javits-Wagner-O'Day Act (41 U.S.C. 46-48c) is implemented, the required services for this solicitation will be purchased by the Government IAW the requirements of FAR 8.7 and all interested firms who have requested a copy of the solicitation will be notified of this decision. However, until a determination has been made as to the suitability of this requirement for Purchase from people Who Are Blind or Severely Disabled, all small businesses are still solicited and encouraged to participate in the competitive procurement process.
