Description
This is a market research survey for to locate sources for the acquisition of the REMBASS II Repeater (NSN 5820-01-477-7767). The Radio Repeater, RT-1175C/GSQ, is a portable, programmable, single channel FM radio set used to relay messages from field-deployed sensors to either another repeater or to a remote monitor/display set. The repeater is a battery-powered, hand-placed field item that is recoverable and operates unattended. The repeater provides REMBASS II communication link with the capability to overcome radio line-of-sight obstructions, and to achieve extended transmission range (~ 15Km). The Radio Repeater operates in the VHF band. Transmit and receive frequencies or channels can be programmed independently. The current source for this repeater is NOVA Engineering Corp (Developer). Detailed technical data is not available for this repeater. The repeater shall be interoperable with the existing REMBASS/I-REMBASS equipment. Suppliers capable of furnishing these units must so indicate, by writing to Commander, USA CECOM, ATTN: AMSEL-LC-IEW-C-SN, Building 1201E, Ft. Monmouth, NJ 07703-5000. The response must include documentation such as test results, copy of purchase order if the supplier was a vendor to the listed source or statement from listed source demonstrating that the supplier can, in fact, supply the Army with a unit that will physically and functionally interchangeable with the unit from the previous supplier. Successful supplier may be required to warrant that the item supplied will satisfactorily perform when used for the purpose intended to the Army.
