Description

This announcement serves as a notice of intent to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR Part 6.302-1. The Government intends to negotiate and award to Saracino-Kirby, Inc for technical advice and assistance in developing new CALVIN application studies. The contractor will work closely with Reclamation and University of California at Davis staff to prepare the two CALVIN applications related to evaluating options to improve CVP yield. The contractor will perform model calibration, analyze model results, and prepare documenting study findings. The work covers technical assistance by the contractor and the briefing of Reclamation regarding the review, calibration and application of the CALVIN model. The work will consist of reviewing files, producing a calibrated model, and evaluating two separate planning scenarios. This is a simplified acquisition with an estimated value of less than $100,000. This notice will be only official notice prior to award of the purchase order. The anticipated award date is October 31, 2001.
