Description

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Washington, DC is seeking GSA contract contractors to repair or rebuild escalabors #1-9 at Woodson High School, Washington, DC. A brief list of repairs required is as follows: remove steps from all escalators and pressure wash, degrease as needed on all units (work will be performed on site); replace any damaged or missing hardware, step treads or steps as needed on all units; clean down complete, all escalator units; replace step chains on all units; replace flange/step roller assemblies on all units; replace any further need rollers (roughly 700); lubricate entire sysem on all units; replace worn/damaged Novatec Boards as neede; replace handrail drive chains on all units; replace all handrail inlet brushes to eliminate unnecessary shutdowns; add skirt brushes to all units to minimuze skirt to step clearances; replace non-compliant start/stop stations on all units, top and bottom to have audible signals and meet code. a total fo thriy (30) spare keys to be provided upon completion. Use ES-3 by PTL equipment. replace the following handrails as needed: escalator #1, right hand; #2, left hand; #3, right hand; #4, right and left hand; #5, right hand; #6, right & left hand; #7, both ok #8, right and left hand; #9, both ok. After performing above, reinstall steps, adjust as needed and place back in service. Provide proposal to provide preventative maintenance after repair or rebuilding is completed.
