Description

Single or multiple awards may result from this solicitation, with fixed-price contract(s). The period of performance is three years with the possibility of a 6-month extension. All laboratory data must be comparable throughout the survey with the same laboratory and methods used. The contractor shall perform laboratory analysis for one or more of the following: a method for the measurement of iron and total iron binding capacity, erythrocyte protoporphyrin, T4/thyroid stimulating hormone (TSH), and follicle stimulating hormone (FSH)/luteinizing hormone (LH). The contractor must have at least 36 months of continuous experience in conducting routine analysis of iron and total iron binding capacity, erythrocyte protoporphyrin, T4, thyroid stimulating hormone, follicle stimulating hormone, and luteinizing hormone. Tests results and quality control results must be supplied in machine-readable form no later than three weeks after the specimens are received. It is anticipated that 4,920 specimens for iron and total iron binding capacity, 399 FSH/LH specimens, and 1,200 T4/TSH specimens will be sent per year for the next three years. Offerors must have a well-established quality assurance program. The Contractor's laboratory must be certified in accordance with the Clinical Laboratory Improvement Act of 1988 (CLIA). The estimated release date for this RFP is approximately 15 days after this publication and closing will be approximately 30 days after issue date. All responsible source may submit a proposal which shall be considered by the Government.
