- This acquisition is a Total Small Business Set-Aside. The American Industry Classification Systems Code (NAICS) is 484110, Bus. Size $18.5 million. The General Services Administration, Special Services Division will contract to relocate the Department of Interior, U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) within the J.W. Powell Building located at 12201 Sunrise Valley Drive, Reston, Virginia 22092. To accomodate the Laboratory Renovation Project at the J.W. Powell Building, USGS plans to be completed in eight (8) phases, starting with phase four (4) beginning in January 2002. The moves required for each phase will be to swing space within the J.W. Powell Building. The swing space for each move is to be identified by USGS. The move involves a great deal of laboratory equipment in the labs and administrative spaces. USGS will move over a 4 year period. The move activity is anticipated to be Monday through Friday. The move is scheduled to begin January 2002. The contractor will provide the necessary manpower, materials, supervision, transportation, equipment and related moving services for the relocation of boxes, furniture, laboratory items, servers and computer equipment. The property inspection and walk-through of the property will be conducted on Wednesday, November 14, 2001, at 10:00 a.m., in the main lobby entrance of 12201 Sunrise Valley Drive, Reston, Virginia. Prospective bidders interested in attending the walk-through must submit to this office the company's name, address, name of representative attending (only one per firm), along with telephone and fax numbers by close of business Wednesday, November 7, 2001. Bidders that fail to participate in the walk-through or inspection of property to be relocated, will not be considered for award. The solicitation will be issued on or about October 30, 2001.
