Description

UNICOR, Federal Prison Industries is soliciting proposals on a full and open competitive Request for Proposal basis. The contract award resulting from this solicitation is a firm fixed price, requirement type of contract. for delivery of various locks. Items list below are Brand Name or Equal. All vendors interest must supply brand name product or product that is equivalent to ESP Locks. Salient Characteristics are listed for each item in Section B. The solicitation number assigned to this document is FN1075-02. If product offered is a equal to products descriptive literature and 5 samples is required for testing. Samples must be submitted with your proposal. A written copy of this solicitation may be downloaded from UNICOR website at www.unicor.gov/procurement/. Locks is to be delivered F.O.B. destination to FCI Ashland, State Route 716, Ashland, KY 41101. Offerors are advised that the Government intend to evaluate proposals on a all and none basis, and only one vendor will be selected for contract award. The period of performance is date of award through one year thereafter. Delivery acceptance is 30 calendar days after receipt of each delivery order. See Information to Offerors under Section A. Therefore, the initial proposal should contain the offerors best terms from a cost or price and other factors specified in this solicitation. The Government reserves the right to conduct discussions if later determines by the Contracting Officer to be necessary. The time for receipt of proposal is 2:00 PM (Eastern Standard Time), on November 15, 2001. Vendors may submit a signed and dated proposal by Federal Express, facsimile, hand carried or mail proposal to UNICOR, Federal Prison Industries, Inc., Office Furniture Group, 400 1st Street, NW, Washington, DC 20534, 7th Floor, Attn.:Bid Custodian. All proposal must reference the solicitation number and due date for receipt of proposals. In addition to this, each proposal must contain the name, address, telephone number of offeror, technical description, any discount terms that are offered and the remittance address (if different from current mailing address). Offeror must hold unit prices firm in its offer for 90 calendars days from date specified for receipt of offers. If offer is not submitted on a SF33 or SF1449 submit on company letterhead with a statement specifying the extent of agreement with all terms, conditions and provisions included in the solicitation. All offers that fail to furnish required representations and certifications or information and/or reject terms and conditions of the solicitation may be excluded from consideration. The Standard Industrial Classification Code is 5072 and small business size standard is 500.
