Description

DESC: This is a REQUEST FOR QUOTES under SIMPLIFIED ACQUISITION PROCEDURES (SAP) (under $100,000.00). Estimate priced range is between $25,000 and $100,000. PLAN HOLDERS LISTS WILL NOT BE PROVIDED. The proposed requirement is being considered for 100% set-aside for HUBZone concerns. Interested HUBZone concerns should, as early as possible, but not later than 15 days of this notice, indicate interest in the acquisition by providing to the contracting officer evidence of capability to perform including performance and credit references of former contracts of similar size and complexity and positive statement of eligibility as a HUBZone concern. If adequate interest is not received from HUBZone concerns, the solicitation will be issued as unrestricted without further notice. Replies to this notice are requested from all interested Business Concerns as well as HUBZone concerns. The SIC is 1542 (General Contractors-Nonresidential Buildings); the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 233320 -- $27.5 Million. The performance period is 120 calendar days. The work involves: site work, foundation, floor, ceiling, roof system, painting, HVAC system and electrical systems. Work shall be in compliance with all federal, state and local building codes. The solicitation package with plans and specifications will be available by October 24, 2001 and will be listed under N62467-02-Q-8801 at the web site: http://www.esol.navfac.navy.mil. NO TELEPHONE REQUESTS FOR THE PACKAGE WILL BE ACCEPTED. Interested contractors are encouraged to attend the site visit scheduled for Tuesday, November 6, 2001 at 10:00 AM Texas time. Parties will meet at Building 1215 (ROICC), Naval Air Station, Joint Reserve Base, Fort Worth, Texas fifteen minutes before 10:00 AM. To be able to enter the base, the following must be faxed to 817-782-7680 (attn: Martin Hunter) not later than November 1, 2001: Firm's name, Firm's address, name and social security number of each person requesting entry, WITH A POINT OF CONTACT (NAME AND TELEPHONE) in case of an emergency; purpose of visit (site visit for Building 1550) and date & time of site visit. All persons must have photo identification (drivers license) in possession. Must show proof of insurance and registration for each vehicle being driven. Contractors MUST be registered in Central Contractor Registration (CCR) prior to award. In accordance with FAR 28.102-2(c), a 100% payment bond is required for contracts exceeding $25,000 but not exceeding $100,000. Any amendments issued to this solicitation will be posted solely on the website.
