Description

The FISC Norfolk Detachment Philadelphia intends to acquire additional quantities of Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Life Support (ALS) Ambulance Services in support of the Naval Medical Center Portsmouth, VA on a sole source basis via modification to existing purchase order N00140-00-M-N516 with Medical Transport of Virginia Beach, VA. The proposed modification shall increase the total number of BLS runs for the period 01 Oct 01 ? 30 Sep 02 from 360 by 140 to 500 and ALS runs from 360 by 580 to 940. These additional services shall include provision of all necessary supervisory, professional, technical, and administrative personnel and provision of all facilities, ambulances, equipment and supplies. The contractor shall provide response to requests for emergency transport services 24 hours per day, 7 days per week, 365 days per year, including holidays. Other interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received as a result of this notice of intent will normally be considered solely for the purposes of determining whether to conduct competitive procurement
